Lounges/Bars

Shellers Barrelhouse Bar

Shellers Barrelhouse Bar
Seidel up to the pecan-filled long bar to taste our small batch bourbon, or join your colleagues for a game of pool or darts after a long day of meetings. Our tempting Austin bar menu of appetizers is perfectly accompanied by a Texas microbrew or your favorite cocktail. In keeping with saloon tradition, Shellers also offers engaging Austin nightlife with live entertainment. Our most popular gathering spot for guests pays tribute to the good old-fashioned Texas Barrelhouse piano saloon and the intrepid musicians who helped make them so popular.

While you’re there, sample our signature cocktail, the Grey Ghost, created in honor of Bastrop native son and Texas Music Pioneer, Roosevelt Thomas Williams. One of the original barrelhouse blues piano-pounders, Williams - also known as the Grey Ghost - road the freights, picking up piano gigs all over Texas and the Southwest, appearing as if out of nowhere and slipping away in similar fashion.
